After the Ice Storm, Sherman Is Rebuilding Something That Truly Matters

The 2025 ice storm didn’t just damage trees and power lines—it paused something truly meaningful here in Sherman, Texas.

Evergreen Life Services’ greenhouse, a place where adults with disabilities found purpose, pride, and community, was severely damaged. For many, it wasn’t just a greenhouse—it was a daily routine, a sense of accomplishment, and a place to belong.

Now, Leadership Sherman is stepping up in a big way. Their class project is raising $20,000 in just six weeks to rebuild a stronger, safer greenhouse that can serve Evergreen participants for years to come.

This is what makes Sherman TX special. When something important is lost, the community comes together to rebuild it—better than before.
