Recently, TI got a massive infusion of cash from the federal government. The US Department of Commerce announced a $1.6 billion investment in helping Texas Instruments expand its operations. Sherman Crossroads is designed to offer more than just services—it includes recreational amenities for the community. A 3-acre constant-level lake, known as Aston Pond, is planned as a central feature, complete with outdoor dining spaces, walking trails, and landscaped areas with lighting.
